To the tenth hee saith hee this deponent lived five yeares at Cadiz<br />
with him the said producent before the said producents removall thence<br />
to live at Antwerp which was about two yeares since, and by that meanes hee<br />
well knoweth that the said Maximilian da [?hogha], David Molenstein<br />
and ffrancis de la Siierpe have for all that time lived and doe live<br />
and dwell un Cadiz in the dominion of the kinge of Spaine, and saith<br />
the said Maximilian da [?hogha] was and is a native of Ypers in fflanders,<br />
and ffranceis de la Sierpe of Dunquirke in the dominions of<br />
the said kinge and were and are his subiects, and the said David Molenstein was and is<br />
a hamburger borne and a subiect of that citie by birth, but of the kinge<br />
of Spaine (as hee conceiveth) by habitation, and for such they were and<br />
are respectively and comonly accompted and reputed, and none of them a<br />
subiect of the States of the united Netherlands or of the ffrench kinge, which<br />
hee knoweth being well acquainted with them, and knowing their parents<br />
and brothers and nearest kinred (that are living) at the said places of hamburgh<br />
where this deponent was alsoe borne, and at Ypers and dunquirke and<br />
hath seene them and letters from them to the producent. And otherwise<br />
hee cannot depose.
To the 11th hee saith that Dionisio ffalconier, Philip da Paep and Peter<br />
Lams arlate to whom the said silver and plate predeposed was and is<br />
consigned by the said bills of lading to be delivered, were and are fflandrians,<br />
and for such commonly accompted, and that for theise seaven yeares<br />
last (that this deponent hath bin servant to the said producent) they have<br />
lived and dwelt in Ostend or Dunquirke, and that their names by<br />
reason of their said dwelling in the said parts have bin used and they<br />
imployed by the said producent for the receipt and taking up of his plate<br />
and goods there ariving, and saith they were and are subiects of the<br />
kinge of Spaine and for such commonly accompted, and none of them<br />
a Subiect of the States of the United Netherlands or of the ffrench kinge.<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the 12th hee saith that the said George Boschaert was and is a<br />
hamburger borne and a merchant of good accompt and for such<br />
commonly reputed, and for theise seaven yeares last hath lived<br />
in Cadiz and Antwerpe of this deponents knowledge, and as hee<br />
heard had lived in Cadiz for seaven yeares space before that, and saith<br />
by such habitation hee was and is the subiect of the kinge of Spaine<br />
and for such commonly accompted and noe subiect of the foresaid [?interrate]<br />
ffrench kinge. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
