IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Thomas ffinch of London Merchant being in perfect health minde and memory thanks be to God therefore and calling to minde the fraile estate of mankind and now especially that I am agoeing a Journey and yoyage into Ireland[1] and to prevent any Law suites or difference that may arise betweene my relations about the disposeing of my estate which God of his infinite mercy Hath been gratiously pleased to give mee in this life I doe therefore declare this to bee my last will and Testament and Committing my Soule to God who gave it trusting in the meritts of my Blessed Saviour Christ Hesus to obtaine odon for all my Sinns and to see my God in the Land of the Liveing my body I Committ to the earth to be decently buried as my Executors shall thonke convenient, and them whom I desire to take this trouble and to see that this my will be complied with is my Brother M:r George ffinch and my nephews M:r Henry and M:r Thomas ffinch whom I appointed my Executors viz:t
ITEM I give to my brother M:r Geo: ffinch Two hundred pounds
ITEM to my brother M:r William ffinch[2] his Children viz:t Henry Thomas Anna Maria and Samuel ffinch One hundred pounds each to buy them A diamond Ring a peece with this motto (MEMENTO MORI)[3]
ITEM I give unto my Brother M:r Henry ffinch his Children being five in number whose names I doe not perfectly know, One hundred pounds a peece
ITEM I give to my good sister M:r Geo: ffinch his wife ffifty pounds for a ring and her two daughters Mary and sarah, One hundred pounds a peece
ITEM I give to my Ant Bowing and her Two daughters Twenty pounds a peece
ITEM I give to my Cus: Henry sadler Twenty pounds and to Cus: Jer: ?Elsing Tenne pounds

WHICH day appeared personally Robert Smythson of S:t Giles Criplegate Merchant aged about ffifty six yeares and Jeremy Elsing of S:t Buttolphs Bishopsgate London Merchant aged about twenty wight yeares and by virtue of their Oaths did depose that they very well knew Thomas ffinch of London Merchant deceased and were very well acquainted with his Character and mannor of writing haveing often seen him write and that haveing now seene and perused the will of the said Thomas ffinch deceased hereunto Annexed and considered of the Character and manner of writeing thereof They doe verily beleeve in their conscience that the same is all wrote with the proper handwriting of the s:d Thomas ffinch deceased
