1. the said brother of the said Captaine being named Stephen Titus, and came
2. aboard this deponents said shipp (which was then come neere Blackwall) with
3. severall of the said Captaine Titus his mariners, and said hee was sent by his said
4. brother the Captaine, And otherwise hee cannot depose.

to the Interrogatories.

11. To the first hee saith hee hath bin about 18 monethes master of the said
12. shipp the Morning starr, and came first aboard her at Amsterdam,
13. and otherwise hee hath satisfied the same before.
14. To the second hee neither knoweth the father nor mother of the said claimer,
15. And further cannot answer than as aforesaid.
16. To the third hee saith the said producent came himselfe (to this deponents
17. best remembranse) on board with the said hides and wood when they were
18. laden as aforesaid, And otherwise referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.
19. To the fourth hee saith hee made entrie of the said goods in his paper or
20. roll of the lading as they came aboard, with the marke and the name of
21. the producent by the same of daniel with the addition of Passenier
22. this deponent not knowing his surname nor askeing it of him, but set
23. downe daniel Passenier, which is to say in English, daniel the
24. Passenger, And otherwise hee cannot remember saving as aforesaid.

31. To the first hee saith hee hath belonged to the said shipp the Morning
32. Starr theise sixteene moneths and upwards and came first aboard her at
33. Amsterdam, and that his first comming aboard her was when shee began
34. this voyage thense, and otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoing deposition.
35. To the second hee saith hee knew the said producent a little before such his
36. lading the said goods at Santa Cruse, and saw him first there, but doth
37. not know his father or mother, and that hee never knew him by any other
38. name than Daniel, and they called him Daniel de Passanier, for that
39. hee was a passenger in the shipp. And otherwise hee cannot answer
40. saving as aforesaid.
41. To the third hee saith hee aw the said producent trade and buy
42. some of the said goods at Santa Cruse, and saw him come on board with
43. them, and otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
44. To the 5th negatively.
45. To the last hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and cannot
46. otherwise answer.
