2. be done by her to have avoyded the ffreeman arlate, yet the
3. Company of the ffreeman edged their vessell after the Mary
4. ffreeman , and the ffreeman did runne on board the very XX GUTTER
5. midShipps of the Mary and the Boltspritt of the
6. ffreeman did runn against the mayne Mast of the Mary
7. with such a force that it did breake the mayne Mast into
8. three peeces and carryed all the Masts, sayles and rigging
9. by the boord and the stemme of the ffreeman rann into
10. the side of the Mary and brake her downe to the water
11. and he saith That all the sayd damage happened unto
12. the Mary by the obstinatenes ˹and willfulnes˺ of the company of the freeman
13. being bent upon mischeife, for (he saith) that they might
14. easily have gone by and done noe harme to the Mary The
15. premisses he deposeth being one of the said Marys Company
16. and on board her when the damage predeposed of was done
17. unto her by the ffreeman, And further he cannot depose
18. To the third and fourth articles he deposeth and saith that he

28. Saving that there were many spectators of the ffreeman GUTTER

35. To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he cometh to XXX GUTTER
