2. To the 7th hee saith hee hath used sea voyages somelymes as
13. a Cooper and somelymes as a mariner ˹these foreteene yeares past˺ and hath in that tyme heced his part of primage and Aneridge for many voyages and knoweth that
14. it is a thing constantly allowed to Master and Mariners over
15. and aboard their wages, as an encouragement, and alsoe, to binde
16. them to pay what dammages happens through their neglect, either
17. by badd stowage unbesetment, or want of pumpeing or the
18. like, And saith hee this deponenet hath receaved noe shave of primage and
19. Aneridgs for the voyage in questions, nor beleeveth that any of the
20. rest of the shipps company have receaved any And saith hee
21. sawe one Syon Hill the sayd Toltys Clarke demand
22. primage and Aneridge of the freighters for the sayd voyage, and XXXXX
23. some part thereof for the sayd Toltyes use, And further hee cannot depose./
24. To the 8th hee saith hee reserveth himself to the Registrie of
25. this Court and further cannot depose
26. To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true/
27. To the interrogatories./
28. To the first interrogatorie the danger of perinre being declared veto
29. him as is required, hee saith hee was one of the Edward and John
30. her company the voyage in question, and that Captaine Tolty
31. is by this snite sued for this rendents wages, as he is for
32. others of the sayd shipps company./
33. To the 2 hee saith hee hath heard and beleeveth that Captaine Tolty
34. was sued in the barbados for the horse intterrogate, and
35. condemned to pay for him, and further saving his foregoing
36. deposition hee cannot answere/
37. To the 3 hee saith soe farr as ever hee observed the boatswaine
38. in all voyages had the sole Care and charge of taking in all
39. goods and delivery of them out, and doth usually keepe a booke to that
40. purpose, and saith after goods are laden and stowed of the shipps
41. company bee entered into whole pay ˹and not before˺ they are all obliged to take
42. what care they can (XXX XX boatswaine after) of all goods on board
43. the shipp And futher hee cannot answere/
44. To the 4th hee saith hee did not sue the interrogate Viber imbezelled
45. any lead, deale bonds, or pipe staves, or roapes, nor hath soe
46. deposed And further cannot answere otherwise then before hee hath
47. deposed./
48. To the 5th hee saith hee was not at the tryall interrogate And therefore
49. cannot answere to this interrogatorie/
50. To the last hee saith saving his foregoing deposition wherein hee hath
51. soe farr as hee can satisfied the contents of this interrogatorie hee cannot
52. answere otherwise than negatively for his pt, and further cannot answere
53. not knowing of any violence offered to any labourers by any of the sayd
54. shipps company nor of any threatning speches given them to the epect interr/
