1. and accordingly they were sent aboard, and saith his said master was
2. to the time of the said delivery the true and lawfull owner of the said
3. materialls, and provider or maker thereof ˹wherewith they enformed the said worke˺, and that the same
4. ˹with the workemanshipp˺ were worth the respective summes mentioned in the said schedule
5. all amounting to three pounds, six shillenges and two pence or
6. thereaboutes, and that those were the ordinary rates then of the like
7. worke, and commadities. All which hee knoweth being servant to
8. the said Hatten, and helping to make the said materialls ˹doe the said worke˺, and seeing
9. the delivery thereof, and having nowe the debt booke with him, hee
10. findeth the particulars and prizes to be as arla schedulated. And
11. otherwise hee cannot depose, saving hee saith that the Compasses
12. were all or most of them ˹to his remembrance˺ belonging to the said shipp, and that what is
13. set downe in the schedule concerning them is for repairing and
14. materialls and workemanshipp in such reparation.

Examined vpon the foresaid allegation libell.
Michael Scot servant and Apprentice to Master John Harris
of the Tower Libertie saile maker, aged 23 yeeres or
thereaboutes sworne and examined.
22. To the first article hee saith that hee well knoweth the arlate
23. John Case, who hee saith was ˹within˺ the time arlate master of the shipp the
24. Stambeline, (which hee alsoe knoweth), and soe commonly accounted.
25. To the 2.3.4.5 and 6 articles and to the fourth schedule annexed and
26. nowe read unto him (hee the while looking on the shopp booke and
27. finding it to agree for particulars and prizes therewith) hee saith
28. and deposeth that at the instance of the said John Case this deponentes
29. said master at his shopp at Tower Wharfe did and caused to be
30. donne and made and thence delivered to the use of the said shipp then
31. riding in the River of Thames, all and singular the goods worke and
32. materialls schedulated (whereof his said master was to the said time
33. of deliverie the owner) worth the severell and respective summes
34. thereon set downe (amounting in all to 17li -10s or thereaboutes)
35. at the usuall and ordinary rates, which hee knoweth because hee this
36. deponent helped to doe the said worke and sawe the delivery and
37. sending the same aboard the said shipp which was then outwards
38. bound, and stood in neede thereof, and the same were soe made
39. and delivered at the instance as aforesaid of the said Case, who
40. came severall times bespake them, and came severall times
41. to looke after them of this deponentes sight and knowledge, And
42. otherwise hee cannot depose.
