13. sworne before the right worshipfull John Godolphin
14. doctor of Lawes out of the Iudges of the high
15. Court of Admiralty saith and deposeth as
16. followeth videlicet./
17. To last being the 6th Interrogatorie upon which alone hee is examined
18. by direction of the producent hee saith that many of the hydes bought
19. here in the shipp the Southampton Merchant were much damnified
20. by wett receaved, and were saith that all the hides bought home in
21. the sayd shipp were ................. at Southampton and this deponent
22. saw them at a house there to be dryed and sawe them in drying And
23. saith that after they were all dryed this deponent ............. did by
24. order of the producent William Bulkley shipp a thousand of the
25. sayd hydes brought here in the Southampton Marchant in a smale vessell
26. of this dep whereof this deponent was Master and carrie them to
27. New haven in France And hee this deponent at the ladeing of the
28. sayd thousand hydes did well observe that many of them to the number
29. of three hundred and better were very much damnified and rotten and
30. halfe torne away but what to estimate the damage ... at hee
31. knoweth not and saith hee hath heard that the sayd dammage was
32. occasioned by wett receaved at Sea by fowle weather in the passage
33. of the Southampton Merchant from New England to Southampton And
34. further hee cannot depose./

38. To the first Interrogatorie hee saith hee knew the Southampton Merchant
39. from the tyme of her first building And saith in ˹and during˺ the yeare 1654 the
40. producent Mr Bulkley was Commonly reported to be the sole and lawfull
41. owner of the sayd shipp And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot
42. answere for that hee was not at New England in the sayd shipp
43. To the 2 Interrogatorie hee cannot answere for that hee was not at New
44. England the tyme Interrogate./
