and others to stay on board for endeavour the preservation of her and
if they could preserve her to carry her to the first first port they could
make or to that effect in obedience to which command the sayd Gough
as Commander and this deponent and the sayd 45 men of the Lyon's company
did staye on board though with great hazard of their lives and with
continuall labour of two hand pumps continually goeing and divers
bayling water continually with bucketts ad belye of a spritsayle
they had of the Lyon which they nade verve for a foresayle for the shipp
Interrogate he at length brought her to Briegsham Key in Tourbay
which was the first port they could make the winde blowing hard to the
Southwards shere after she was arrived her leakes were stopped.
