  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

To the 5th hee saith, That by rason of the said wilfulnes or
neglect and the soe veering of the said lightr and breaking the
hawsor and putting the said lighter with the wynes adrift, one of the said
pipes of wyne was staved and utterly lost whereby the said Travers was
and is in this deponents judgment and estimation really damnified to the valew
of thirtie pounds at least of lawfull English money, a pipe of such
wine being then really worth and usually sold amongst Merchants at that
rate; Th epremisses hee knwingly deposeth, being an Eye wittnesse
thereof and a Cooper by trade, and soe knowing the valewes of wynes
