To the 11th hee saith and deposeth That by reason of the taking of
the said Indico from aboard the Salvador by the [?Swanley TowXXXX]
and Company there was taken much notice thereof, and [XXXX] aboard (as he
verily beleeveth) it being done in that violent and sudden manner as
is predeposed, And otherwise cannot depose./
To the 12th hee saith hee cannot depose./
To the 13th hee saith that the said ten barrells of Indico were taken out
of the said shipp the Salvador as before he hath deposed, And otherwise
referring himself thereunto he saith hee cannot depose./
To the 14th article of the said allegation hee referreth himself to his foregoeing
deposition and otherwise hee saith hee cannot depose./
To the last hee saith That what is by him deposed is true/

To the first article of the said second Allegation and to the
Exhibitt or writing therein mentioned he saith and deposeth That
after the said ten barrells of Indico were taken out of the Shipp the
Salvador (whereof Peter Whiteing was Comander) as in his deposition
is set downe to the forementioned allegation, The said shipp Salvador
sailed for Civita Vechia and there arrived, the said Peter Whiteing and
Richard Lampe Boatswaine of the said shipp, att the request of one Mr
Man an Agent or ffactor for the producent Sir Jacob Garrett, did make
faith [XX testis] concerneing the said ten barrells of Indico And did
s[?yne] and [XXXXXXX] there confessions or depositions upon oath as the
same is now wlleged under the hands of the Officers and a Notary Publique
as in the same Instrument (now shewed unto this deponent) is mentioned and
conteyned, Which he knoweth for that he was present and saw them so
subscribe the said Instrument, as therein
it doth plainely appeare to which hee referreth himself And
otherwise hee cannot depose,
To the second article of the said allegation he saith That the schedule thereunto
annexed written in vulgar Italian was and is the originall Confession
and deposition of the said Whiting and Richard Kempe and the same unto which they
subscribed theire hands at Civita Vechia aforesaid, And otherwise referring
himself to his [XXXXX] depositions taken to the said allegations hee saith hee
cannot depose, saving that hee understandeth the Italian tongue and
haveing duely perused the same deposeth the premisses as aforesaid./
To the third article and [XXXXX XXXXXXX] hee saith That
hee hath seene the handwriting of the arlate Jo[XXXX] M[?ajnott] notarie Publique
in severall writings and Instruments both here and abroad And hee beleeveth that the subscription
to the second schedule arlate is done by the said Jos[XXXX] otherwise hee cannot depose./
To the last he saith his foregoeing depositions are true.
