taken and seized by certaine shipps in the im[m]eadiat service of the com[m]onwealth
in the English seas upon the coast of England, and was first chased by

and was afterwards subdued and taken by the sayd shipp and another shippe
named the Water hound whereof Giles Shelley arlate was com[m]ander
and saith that two shippes were in the im[m]ediate service of this com[m]onwealth
vizt. the Mayflower and the ?10thwhelpe? were neere and in sight att the
