1. for these eight or 9 yeares last past hath observed that shipps (though
2. otherwise light and stronge) if they be forsed to beare over much sayle XX
3. in fowle weather to keepe company with convoyes, as the shipp Willing
4. Minde was, doe often prove leakie by being streined with bearing
5. sayle, and that the same is not to bee prevented by their Masters or Company
6. nor their ladeing preserved from damage otherwise than by pumping or
7. bearing lesse sayle and she looseing the company of their Convoyes And
8. further to these articles hee cannot depose/
9. To the 5th hee saith that by the sayd shipp the Willing mynde her bearing
10. sayle as a foresayd shee did keepe company with her sayd Convoyes
11. and thereby avoided being taken by enymyes and arrived safe with her ladeing
12. in the Port of London and saith if shee had not for done shee had bin in
13. danger of being taken both shee and her ladeing by the enymyes men
14. of warr And further hee cannot depose/
15. To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./
To the Interriogatories given on behalfe of Culling Kirby [CENTRE HEADING]
and Arthur./
19. To the first hee sayth hee cometh to testifie the truth being for required to
20. doo by the producent Robert Pearson and hath receieved noe part of his
21. wages nor hath demanded the same it not being yet due for that the
22. sayd shipp is not delivered And otherwise saving this foregoeing deposition
23. hee cannot answere otherwise than negatively./
24. To the 2 hee saith the Willing Mynde was forsed to beare sayle as
25. aforesayd to keepe company with her sayd Convoyes, or else to
26. loose the benefit thereof and thereby incurr the the danger of her and her ladeing
27. being taken by enymies, and he beleeveth if they shee had not borne sayle
28. soo to keepe company shee had not proves leakie nor received damage
29. in her ladeing by water, shee being light before as is predeposed/
30. To the 3 hee saith there was some losse xx in vineger and brandy wyne
31. which {ca}me up at the pumpe as was easy to bee smelt and was smelt
32. by this deponent and (as hee beleveeth) by others of the shipps Company, and
33. alsoe saith some salt was dammified by water which came into the
34. sayd shipps hold, and saith the paper was not stowed upon the salt
35. but before and abaft the salt, and saith hee beleveeth paper will receive
36. dammage if salt bee stowed upon it And further hee cannot answere/
37. To the 4th hee saith the shipp Interrogate did not meete with any
38. storme but such as is ordinary for other shipps to meete with And
39. further hee cannot answere/

43. To the first hee saith if the goods bee adiudged to be dammified by
44. default of goods stowage hee beleveeth hee ought to board his share
45. the of the damage and saith further saving his foregoeing depostion hee
46. cannot more fully answere and hee saith/
47. To the 2 hee saith there were fiftie one bayles of paper brought in the sayd
48. shipp for accompt of the Interrogate Carbonell and Seawards, and saith
