Transcription

the Saint ffrancis receyved a letter of Advise from the sayd ffrancis
Mottet dated from Marsellys the 31th day of Aprill 1654 new stile
that the had receyved two ffatts or butts of Oros or Iroos from the
sayd Nis and Molynes att Legorne, and that he had bought eight small
bales of bitter Almonds and had made them upp into three bales and
marked them videlicet the sayd bales and butts with the marke in the

margent, and had laden them on board the arlate shipp the Saint
ffrancis whereof Louis Coriton was master to be transported to haver de
Grace there to be delivered unto Louis Jordaine or his Agents, to
ber sent from thence to England unto him the sayd ffrancis Tryon for
his accompt, and that he so consigned the sayd goods to haver de grace

in regard there was noe conveniency of shipping them from Marsellys
for England, And further that the sayd ffrancis Tryon before the
seizure of the sayd shipp at least before any newes thereof
receyved advise from the sayd Jordayne that he had letters from
the sayd ottet to the effect aforesayd. the premisses he knoweth for that
he saw and perused the sayd letters before the newes of the sayd seizure
and hath lately consulted with them and doth really beleive that the
sayd goods were truly laden according to the effect of the sayd letters.
And further saving his subsequent depositions he cannot depose.

To the sixth Article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith, that the sayd
Louis Jordayne by his letters of advise dated from Roahan the
eighth day of May last past new stil. (which letters were
directed to and came to the hands of the sayd Mr Tryon here in London
before the seizure of the sayd shipp the ffrancis) did signify that
according to advises by him receyved from Marsellys the sayd Oras and
Almonds were laden in the sayd shipp consigned to himselfe to be from
havre da Grace after their arrivall there, sent to him the producent in
London, And that the sayd Mottet in his sayd advises had sent to him the
sayd Jordayne a bill of lading for the sayd goods: And he saith
that since that tyme the sayd Jordayne sent over the bill of lading
annexed and now shewne him to the producent in London as and
for the very bill of lading sent to him as aforesayd from the sayd
Mottet of Marsellys. And this deponent is well assured that the sayd
advises were, and are reall and true, and beleiveth for the reasons
aforesayd that the Contents of the sayd bill of lading were and are reall
and true and so had and done as therein is conteyned And further
referring himselfe to the sayd bill of lading he cannot depose
