Biographical synthesis

John Knight (b.ca.1632; d. ca. 1665) was a London Grocer, resident in 1655 with his master, Lewis Byker (alt. Biker) in the parish of Saint Peter upon Cornhill.

His will was written on July 21st 1665 and proven in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on October 6th 1665[1]

In his will he describes himself as "Cittizen and Grocer of London", and states that he was in good health. He mentions his son John Knight, who was was under the age of twenty-one, and his brother-in-law Daniel Eyre of Bunbury in Oxfordshire, gentleman. He also mentions the younger children of his brother William Knight of Bodwrott (poss. Bodicott) in Oxfordshire, gentleman. He mentions his apprentice, John Packe.
