Elizabeth Meredith (b. XXXX, d. 1659)
Henry Oxenden took Elizabeth Meredith, daughter of Sir William Meredith, 1st bart., of Leeds Castle, Kent, as his second wife. The marriage took place on 14th August 1640 at Leeds Castle, Kent. Elizabeth died on August 19th 1659. Elizabeth Oxenden (née Merdith) was the mother of Henry Oxenden's eldest son and heir, the later Sir James Oxenden (2nd bart.) (b. 1641, d. 1708).[2]

Henry Oxenden of Deane wrote to his cousin, Henry Oxinden, at Barham, in May 1642, stating that tomorrow he was going to Leeds (presumably Leeds Castle, Kent)
where I shall bee glad to see you beefore next terme.[3]
