Cittizen and White Baker of London aged 54 yeares or thereabouts
a witnes sworne and examined saith and deposeth
To the 1: 2: 3: 4th and 5th articles of the sayd allegation hee saith and deposeth
that hee this deponent was one of the porters imployed by the Commissioners
for prize goods arlate for the deliverey out of the ginger which the sayd Commissioners
had lying in a warehouse at Ralphes Key to such persons as the Commissioners
did sell the same unto, and therby well knoweth (for that hee was present with his

indifferently and impartially divided (without any pickeing or chooseing out or throwing by of any
particular baggs but takeing them as they a rose) from other ginger which laye in
the same warehouse (and was sayd to be bought by the arlate Samuell Swinnock
Ans saith that hee well knoweth that they who bought and tooke away the sayd
ginger had noe greate benefitt by takeing theirs away first then
they would and might gave had if the sayd Swinnock had first come and taken his
share of the sayd ginger sold to him, And saith that at the same tyme that the sayd
ginger bought by other persons and remayneing in the sayd Warehoue or soe much as they thought thn fitt to take away
was as aforesayd delivered unto them and after the deliverie thereof in manner aforesayd
there were diverse baggs of ginger (to the number of one hundred as hee beleeveth)
weighed and carefully layed by to be kept for the use of the sayd Swinnock, and this
hee the better knoweth for that hee was present togeather with the sayd Greenewood
Sherwin ffrancis and others and helped to laye them by and sawe them weighed And
further to these articles hee cannot depose not being privie to the sayd Swinnocks buying
of the sayd ginger nor knowing ought of his being spoken to to fetch the same away from
the waarehouse where it was./
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./
