SEE HCA 13/71 f.210v Transcription and digital image for deposition of "George Baldero of London Merchant aged 54 yeeres" (dated 29th May 1656) in the case "On behalfe of henry Baldeo, William Harris and John Shephard English Merchants touchng the Catherine

- George Baldero described Henry Baldero in his deposition as an English man and a subject of the Commonwealth. Henry Baldero was one of three owners of the Catherine, which had been bought in "Holland". George Baldero noted "hee [Henry Baldero] hath by lettres ordered this deponent to accept bills from Newcastle to pay moneys for the lading of coales there for holland upon and for the account of him and the sayd part owners mr harris and mr shephard, and owners of the said vessell, and coales"

- George Baldero, deposed in HCA 13/73 on March 29th, 1659 in the case "Ex parte Baldero Harris and Sheppard and Tompson aforesaid touching the Catherine". In this deposition George Baldero described himself as "of London Merchant, aged 56 yeeres". George Baldero states that "hee well knoweth the arlate Henry Baldero, William Harris, and John Sheppard, and soe hath done for a long space namelz the said Mr Baldero from his Infancy, and the said Mr Harris for about twenty yeeres and the said Mr Sheppard for about foure yeeres last," States that "the said Mr Henry Baldero is of his this Deponents certaine Knowledge a Native of England, and was borne at Berry in the County of Suffolk, where this Deponent was likewise borne and the said Henry Baldero Doth here (by this Deponent who is his Correspondent) pay taxes to this Comonwealth of England for Lands which hee hath here in England and is ffree of the Company of the Merchant Adventurers of London and hath bin Tresurer of the said Company"

In the name of God Amen
the Eight and twentith day of may in The yeare of our Lord God according to the English
Accompt one thousand six hundred and sixty I, Henry Boldero merchant Adventurer
Resident in the Cittie of dordrecht in holland being at present (Praysed be Allmighty
God) in good health and of a perfect and disposeing mind, and memory yet knowing the
oncertainety of this weake fraile naturall life and the certainty of death Revoakeing
and disanulling all former Wills and Testaments be me heretofore made doe make and
ordaine this my Testament and last Will in manner ffollowing

First I commend my
Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator of whom I hope for pardon of all my
Sinns in and through the merritts of Jesus Christ my only savioyr and Redeemer And my
Body I Committ to the Earth to be interred in Christian buriall

And as touching that
Temporall Estate which God of his goodnes hath [?lent] me I doe dispose thereof as followeth
(That is to say)

I give and devise and bequeath unto Sarah my deare and loving wife All my
messuages houses Lands Tennements and hereditaments whatsoever both ffree and
copyhold scituate lying and being in the County of worsester in the kingdome
of England To have and to hold the same unto her my said wife and her Assignes Ime=
diately from and after my decease for and dureing the terme of her naturall life upon
this Consieration that she doe (by good and sufficient Acts and Assurances accordingly to
the Lawes of the kingdome of England and the Statutes Lawes and Customes of the
States of holland) make grant [?Lease] ad Assigne [?order] unto my Executors hereafter
named all her [Right XXXXXXX] and demands which shee may iustly have and
claime by C[?ustomes] or otherwise out of my Reall or personall Estate either in
England or holland other then such Estates as by mee [XXXX] my Present Will I
have given and bequeathed unto her
