I reced yo:es of y:e 10:th 7:ber by y:e Affrican, & Copy of yo:es of y:e 30:th X:br 1665 & am glad to know of yo:e good health, w:ch God Continue.

I observe yo:w could gett y:e Assignes of Ma: dias de CasSee[1] to pay y:e mony I bought of M:r ?Vanderbersh,[2] he saieing it was out in debts w:ch I cannot believe for I suppose Bullen[3] doth not contract debts, but I beleeve he desirest to keepe it longer & make use of it, pray honno:e me soe farr as to send him y:e Inclosed in w:ch I Desire him to pay y:e said mony to yo:e order, or to send it me in diamonds by yo:e via, desireing yo:e ffavour in writing him a letter.

The ship S:t George is not yett arrived w:ch makes us to doubt ?ther, God send her well, I hope by her yo:w have sent me y:e proseed of y:e Amber Cabbenett & candellstickes, The Dutch tooke at y:e landsend a vessell y:t came from y:e bay of Bengall w:th saltpeeter & silkes, w:ch is a greate loss considering y:e want wee have of peeter, god send better success to those other shipps y:t wee expect, & send us peace & yo:w, all happiness, soe remane
