Transcription

To the second Interrogatory he answereth that he knoweth not
any Lighter called the Margaret as is interrate, but he
saith that the first time he saw (to his best remembrance) the
french Lighter was at Cocks=key nigh London=bridge when
the dammaged goods (predeposed of) were there taken up, and
that he hath seene the said ffrench Lighter severall times since And
further he cannot answeare./

To the third, fourth, fifth and sixth Interrogatories he answereth that
he referreth himselfe to his former deposition, And otherwise
he knoweth not to answeare./

To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth that he this Rendent
was present when by the procurement of the producents two
[?XXXXXXs] of the Custome house did view the damage the
said goods had receaved And otherwise he cannot answeare./

To the eight and ninth Interrogatoryes he answereth that they doe
not concerne him being not aboard the shipp at the time interrogated./

William Moore of London Merchant aged 23 yeares
or thereabouts w witnes sworne and examined saith
and deposeth as followeth videlicet./

To the sayd allegation in the Acts of Court hee saith that hee this deponent
well knoweth that the allegate John Gayer and Robert Gayer the sonnes
of the allegate Sir John Gayer are respectively in their minorities
for that hee this deponent
sid search the severall Registries of the parish of Saint Andrew Undershaft
and Saint Catherines Creechurch London and therein did dinde that the
sayd John Gayer was Baptised in the said parish of Saint Andrew Undershaft
the seaventeenth day of August in the yeare of our Lord God
one thousand sixe hundred thirty fower And that the sayd
Robert Gayer was Baptized in the sayd parish of Saint Katherines
Creechurch the seaventeenth day of March one thousand
sixe hundred thirty five and thereby knoweth that they have
not atteyned their respective ages of one and twenty yeares,
And hee alsoe saith that by advise which hee this deponent
receaved from Smirna and alsoe by the Common
report of Merchants upon the Exchange London hee this deponent was given
to
