Peter De Breer of the parish of Peter Le
Poore servant to Mr Philipp Richaut, borne at
Dunkirke and aged about 18 yeares, being sworne
and examined he deposeth as followeth.

To the first and second articles of the sayd Libell he
deposeth and saith That he this deponent hath lived
with the arlate Mr Philip Richaut for about these two
yeares last as his servant, and that therby he well knoweth
that the said Richaut and Company were in the
months arlate videlicet in the monthes of November, December
January and ffebruary 1653 and alsoe before and at this
present ought to bee the lawfull Owners and Proprietors
of the arlate shipp the ffortune of the sea now called
the Post and of her tackle, apparrell and furniture
and that the sayd shipp was sett out by the sayd
Richaut and Company in the months arlate on a
voyage from this Port of London to Roane in ffrance
and that she safely arrived there for the account of
them the sayd Owners, The which he knoweth having
received intelligence therof by Letters from his precontest
Peter Powles the then Master of her And further
he cannot depose.

To the third article he deposeth and saith that after the
safe arrivall of the sayd shipp At Roane, she was
seized upon by ffrenchmen and afterwards condemned
Prize there in ffrance, and therby the lawfull Owners
of her were dispoyled and robbed of her, The
premisses he well knoweth having received, seene and
read many Letters of aadvice therof sent to the saud
Mr Richaut And further he cannot depose.

To the fourth and fifth articles of the sayd Libell
he deposeth and saith, That since the comming of the
said shipp into the River of Thames the arlate Philip
Richaut and Company have arrested her as Owners
of her, and that one Mr Barr a ffrenchman hath
putt in bayle, and that therby she is discharged
from the sayd arrest And that he very well
knoweth, that the sayd shipp cakked the ffortune of
the sea and now called the Post, which since her
comming into this River hath bin arrested by the
sayd Richaut and Company, is the very same
shipp the sayd Richaut and Company sent out upon
a Voyage for Roane and which was there soe seized
and condemned, as he hath predeposed The premisses
he knoweth for that he was frequently a board her
berfore her sayd voyage to Roane and hath bin
aboard her since her now comming into this River of
Thames And further he cannot depose.

To the last he saith his former deposition is true./
