Transcription

To the third and fourth had saith and deposeth, That the producent
James Pinquett in the respective moneths arlate was and at present is
the tried and lawful Owner and Proprietor of the silver and moneys arlate
videlicet of fourteene small peeces of silver marked with the first
marke in the margent, And of two baggs of money, containeing each

[FIRST MARKE, LH MARGIN]

five hundred patacons or peeces of eight of old and new Peru coyne
the said baggs being marked with the second marke in the margent

[SECOND MARKE, LH MARGIN]

which said barrs or peeces of silver and baggs of moneys were laden
and putt on board of shipp the Morning starr arlate (whereof this
deponent was and is Master) at Cadiz in Spain by the aforesaid
Peter Janson de Yonge and David Clincker for the proper accompt
of the said James Pinquett, to be transported in the said shipp to
Ostend or Dunquirke, and there to be delivered to the said producent
or his Correspondents there for his use accompt and adventure. All
which hee knoweth, being Master of and aboard the said shipp at the
time of the lading of the said barrs of silver and baggs of money
and having himselfe received the same on board, and having signed bills of
lading to the intent and purpose as is predeposed, as by the bills of
lading [annexed], to which hee referreth doeth and may appeare. And
otherwise cannot depose.

To the fifth hee saith That at the time of the lading of the silver
and moneys predeposed hee this deponent did signe and firme to
three bills of lading all of one Tenor for the said barrs of silver and to
three other bills of lading of one Tenor for the said two baggs of patacons
which said bills of lading did signify and declare, that the said silver
and baggs of money were laden and to be delivered to and for the accompt
of the producent as is predeposed, two of which bills this deponent received
of the said laders, and brought it aboard his said shipp together with
the moneys and plate predeposed, and left fower of them in the
hands of the ffactors aforesaid. And otherwise cannot depose./:-

To the sixth hee saith, That the bills of lading annexed
and now showed onto him are two of the Originall bills of lading
so firmed and signed with this deponents proper handwriting, the contents
thereof being true and reall, and so had and done as therein it arlate
And otherwise cannot depose

To the 7th had saith, That the silver and moneys so laden as it
predeposed for the accompt and upon the sole adventure of the producent
at this deponent for the reasons by him predeposed is really assured
